Between the covers of this book lies a powerful story of growth and achievement – this is not a story without its struggles and challenges.
As I reflect on the contribution made by St Vincent’s to the lives of so many, I imagine the voices of generations echoing through its corridors and fields. If the walls themselves could speak they would praise the founding heroes and the thousands who have followed in their footsteps, for their fidelity to the charisma of the founder St Vincent and the Daughters of Charity. They would loudly attest that St Vincent’s has served the poor and disadvantaged within London and beyond, and continues to do so with its public benefit charitable contribution as a care home.
